http://slrmotorsports.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail%26amp;p=732

are all these things gimmicks or do some actually work?

i bought one once for a dodge intrepid for $13 and all it was was some kind of resistor.

are they all the same? i looked at superchips but al they do is ford, dodge, and gm. ive got a scion tc.$70 for a performance chip?
They do change HP, fuel mileage, etc, or whatever they claim but if you live in an area where you have to pass an emission test it may not pass the test after changing the chip.$70 for a performance chip?
I hear you man, I've got a 94 celica that i was looking for a chip for. ultimately, unless you have a turbo diesel, pre tuned chips don't do that much. I got an apexi AFC Neo which is a programmable override for the factory fuel maps. this helps when you modify a stock turbo like on the engine i plan to put in my car. From everything i read, those chips essentially tell your car that you are giving it more gas than you really are. as far as power upgrades for your tc go, you have TONS of choices, my suggestion would be a cat-back exhaust and intake upgrade, if you want some serious power gains, you can get a turbo or supercharger kit for it which will give it an easy 200hp to the wheels. Hope this helps
