Cheaper GPS map updates?

About 3 years ago I bought a Magellan Roadmate 1200 on clearance for $25. It was a great deal and I have been quite happy with this gps. But now the maps are getting quite out of date and it could really use an update. On the Magellan website the 2010 update costs $80! I saw some sites that claim you can get them for free but I am skeptical. Are there any reliable, trustworthy sites that have the update for cheaper than the Magellan site? I am looking for the map of the 48 contiguous United States. Thanks!Cheaper GPS map updates?
Not that are legitimate. Becasue of DRM, you can only use Magellan's maps.
