Would it be safe to use a programmer on a vehicle that has high mileage? My 1997 f250 has a near 200k miles on it and it runs fine. will using a programmer such as superchips, hypertech, Edge etc. be harmful to my truck?Power Programmer for a Ford Truck?
I cant see why not. I am sure there are vehicles out there using them with much higher mileage than yours! 200k is not that much if its been taken care of and hasnt been abused.Power Programmer for a Ford Truck?
Anytime you modify the programming of a stock vehicle you run the risk of breaking something. If you're decent to your truck and don't try and run it around all day on the maximum setting of the programmer, you'll probably be ok.
