Superchips cortex chip.. how to install before and after?? air fuel mixture?

i realize that chips are sketchy with all the half *** brands out there but.

i just bought an 09 frontier, ordered cold air and a chip for it to start.

im getting it all pro installed but what im wondering is do u just plug the thing in and go? or should the mech acctually take his time to play with other things like air fuel mixture?? anything that might hurt my truck. also does this superchips cortex just scam you by dumping more fuel into the cylinders?? or is it an acctual more HP and more eco the proper way??Superchips cortex chip.. how to install before and after?? air fuel mixture?
