I'm planning on attending a Christmas Basketball game, and was wondering if there busy or not... I've watched a few on television and most of the time isn't busy.. The game I might go to is at the Palace of Auburn Hills? How busy are Christmas basketball games?
Nah, it actually isn't that busy SURPRISINGLY.
I went to a Phoenix Vs. Dallas game a while back last December.
And I was surprised it wasn't packed! Especially since it was a rivalry game.

i did not want to be the joker specifically because everyone else wants to be the joker. but then i went into party city and saw the face paint and i was like, okay im the joker.
basically my plan is jersey, shorts, fake basketball tattoos, wrist bands headbands, big *** diamond studs and joker face ( a really good job though)

What can I do to make School Basketball team?
I am athletic, but I have never made the basketball team for my middle school and its my last year as an 8th grader. I am not a huge scorer. Probally like 8 points a game and my ball handling isn't so spectacular but it's decent and I am guard. What can I do to help make basketball team?What can I do to make School Basketball team?
Play hard, play defense, play solidly, don't rush your offence. Let the game come to you, but don't shy away.
Focus on ball-handling/driving or shooting in open space. Definitely go to open gyms or individual work-outs. Don't be complacent. Make sure the coaches know who you are and know what you're about.
For an example there's usually a hundred freshmen that try out at my school. And there's thirteen that fourteen that make the A team and usually 11 that make the B team. This year seven kids are going to the open-gyms, meetings, etc. Those are the kids that will make it for sure even if they're not great.What can I do to make School Basketball team?
i remember the days in middle school, if you want to make it, play defense and make all your lay ups, left and right, coaches don't care for shots because its middle school, but if you hit a couple your chances increases. im on Jv for my high school team and its try outs were alot harder. Idk if your school does this but my coach made us run 25 suicides during tryouts. Good luck and dont give up

If someone is simply cutting across the yard, the intent of the trespasser is not to cause harm, therefore the requirement of imminent death or great bodily harm is not met. The property owner is then subject to criminal prosecution and possibly civil litigation. The expectation of the law is that a reasonable person would either: 1. Call the police or 2. Place the trespasser under private person's (citizen's) arrest and then remand the trespasser immediately to the custody of a law enforcement officer. I think that in this case the most reasonable route would be to call the police - the liability and effort to effect a private person's arrest on a teenager who is only being lazy is too great, call the police and have them go out and speak to the parents.

If you listen to Fox News on XM radio you'll find that all the ads are targeted specifically at older business owners, usually male. Commercials tend be for gold, small business loans, IRS issues, prostate cancer and macular degeneration. It's bad marketing to associate your product with a very polarizing opinion, no matter what it may be. Advertisers don't want to alienate anyone. If you listen to Fox News on XM radio you'll find that all the ads are targeted specifically at older business owners, usually male. Commercials tend be for gold, small business loans, IRS issues, prostate cancer and macular degeneration. I'd be very surprised if I ever heard a commercial on there for the new album by Ke$ha, you know?

I was talking with my girlfriend's parents this weekend. They asked me quite honestly, why gas prices have gone up so much? "Are we running out of oil?" they asked. I told them that as long as there are enough people in China and India who are willing to pay four or more dollars a gallon for gasoline, the world price would rise to that level, and no reasonable supply increase will make a material dent in the price. They looked at me with strange, puzzled looks. "Ok, let me put this another way: When you go to Target or Mervins and buy cheap clothes and shoes made in China and India, you're supporting a business in those far away places, and taking a job away from someone in the USA. We've all been doing this for SO MANY YEARS now that the economies in these distant places have matured, and now those people have as much, or more buying power than we do. We did it to ourselves!" Mercedes Benz in Germany announced they have more luxury car buyers in China than the US! No joke!Why are gasoline prices such a mystery to Americans?

About luxury cars in China...98% of the top 2% of weathiest Americans drive used cars, so having new things doesn't impress me. I have excellent credit, my own house and money in the bank because I don't blow money like my neighbors do.
BTW, I shop at the Salvation Army not because I'm poor, but so my money goes back into my community and NOT to a sweatshop in Bangledesh or somewhere. Honestly, I don't think anyone notices---a black skirt is a black skirt, no matter where you buy it.

Concerning gas prices: you might be surprised to know how much in the way of taxation is included in the price of gas. This type of taxation is called Value-Added Tax (VAT), which is a hidden tax that is not revealed to the customer. You can drive from one county to another and pay lots less in one county and lots more in the other.
I don't exactly know what you mean by "we have done it to ourselves." The price of gas in Europe, for instance, is much higher than it is in the US. Their high cost of gas does not cause our cost of gas to go up. Often you will find that much of their cost of gas is made up of hidden taxes.
The US has a vibrant economy, even when it slows down. Our economy is certainly more robust than Europe's. You mention Germany. I visited there and learned that they're having a terrible time with their economy, ever since East Germany merged with West Germany. The West Germans (who have been living in a free-market economy for decades) were seeing higher and higher taxes on them, to compensate for the stagnant economy of East Germany (which had been living in a Soviet-Union non-free economy).
As to China's economy, do you think you would be better off living in China? Do they offer the freedoms you expect from a free-market economy? Freedom of speech, for instance?
If Mercedes Benz is selling more "luxury cars" in China than it is in the US, I would like to have them define a "luxury car." When I was in Germany, I saw all different-priced cars, as well as trucks, that were made by Mercedes-Benz. It's also possible that "luxury cars" selling best in the US are made by other manufacturers who do a better job of designing and pricing their cars for the US market.
As for jobs overseas, many times US companies outsource to countries with lagging economies. The US companies gain in that workers in these countries will work for less (since the salary is high to them) and the US companies can pass along their savings by charging a lower price for their products. The customer gains from these lower prices.
Those in other countries with slow economies gain, because the salaries that US companies will pay are higher than the salaries that companies in their own countries will pay.
I haven't heard the expression "global economy" in a while. But the term well describes how companies handle various areas of their business. We aren't giving away jobs. We are simply offering citizens of other countries a chance to participate in the US economy. People in the US are living and working in the global economy. People in other countries are also living and working in the global economy. It benefits us all for people all over the world to earn more and increase their standards of living.
Quite often people make the mistake of comparing today's prices with those of the past. However, one has to take into consideration the effects of inflation. Over time, money loses value. What cost a nickel in 1950 may now cost ten or twenty dollars. However, balancing out the loss in purchasing power of the dollar, salaries have risen. A job that paid $3,000/yr. in 1970 may now pay $12,000 to $25,000/yr. or more today (estimates as salaries vary from location to location).
All of these factors need to be taken into account when considering the US economy, as well as the economies of other countries.
I think that you might want to consider these issues on your own. It may be that your ideas have been shaped by the ideas of your parents, your schoolmates, your teachers or one-sided media outlets. It's always a good idea to consider many views of how an economy works. I would recommend to you the writings of Thomas Sowell (pronounced Soo-el), an economist, author and fellow at the Stanford Hoover Institute, who writes about economics in plain simple terms. He has a syndicated column and so should be easy to find online. Another easy-to-follow economist is Walter Williams, who is a professor of economics at George Mason University. What if a Canadian is pulled over in Alabama?
I've been watching a lot of news stories about Alabama's "papers please" laws, including the story this week about the Mercedes Benz executive who was arrested.
The reason I ask specifically about Canada is because Canadians are the only nationality (that I'm aware of) that do not receive any stamps or immigration documentation (like an I-94) upon entry into the USA.
So, if at one of these "license checks" in Alabama a Canadian is pulled over and they show their Canadian driver's license, then what? The officer asks to see their passport and any immigration documents. Well, guess what, there's no stamp or any immigration documents to be found. How does the officer confirm immigration status? He can't!
So then what? Does the officer proceed to arrest the Canadian even though they probably entered legally? Even if they contact ICE, they probably won't be able to actually confirm that the Canadian is legal since no entry documents were ever issued.What if a Canadian is pulled over in Alabama?
Their drivers license is all they need. They are not going to be asked for anything else and certainly not arrested.
He doesn't need to prove immigration status because you are not immigrating, you are visiting.
The law is for people who claim to live in Alabama (or in the US in general) and they have a US drivers license but nothing to show they are legally entitled to it such as some document of US citizenship or a US visa to show they are lawfully LIVING in the US.
As you are showing a Canadian drivers license and you are claiming to be a visitor you are not LIVING in the US and don't need to have immigration papers. The passport or enhanced drivers license you showed when entering the US will do just fine.What if a Canadian is pulled over in Alabama?
It won't be a problem because the US requires that all Canadians have a passport to enter the country. Americans to re-enter too btw.

It takes second to check your passport with ICE, and your entry was recorded. This is not an issue.

There is no provision in the law which says that the ID must be a stamped passport, a passport, or that it is in anyway verifiable by the police officer. A Canadian could hand the police officer an unstamped passport, a passport card, a NEXUS pass, or an enhanced driver's license -- or a US green card or student visa. Nothing in the law says that the police officer has to call border services and see that the passport (NEXUS, or EDL) was scanned within the last 180 days -- anymore than the law requires them to contact border services and check that a stamp was real or the State Department to see if a green card is real.
Yes, he could call border services and they would tell him to the best of their ability. All passports, NEXUS, and EDL are scanned upon entering the country. Canadian border services shares their scanning information with the US, so US border services usually know exactly how long you've been in the country. However, this is not 100% reliable. With millions of crossings each day, either side could forget to scan it, people could enter with a NEXUS and leave with a passport, they could have multiple passports, they could leave through a third country (which doesn't share information with the US), etc. It is generally so unreliable, that INS almost never follows up on Canadian visa overstays flagged by their computers.
I travel to the United States fairly often -- including Arizona. Yes... if pulled over the police officer has to make a call whether the documentation provided is legitimate. Yes... my passport won't have a stamp. However, I can provide any number of things which show I'm a tourist or there on business -- hotel reservations, return plane tickets, my address in Canada, my credit cards receipts, names of US businesses I'm visiting, my insurance information, my IMAX pass, etc., etc. If the officer really thinks I'm living or working illegally in the country, I'm happy proofing that I live in Canada and will be returning there.
In the case of the Germany executive... he didn't have license plates, he didn't have his passport with him, and he didn't have insurance. They let him call a friend to bring him his passport and they let him go once he did. It wouldn't occur to me that I wouldn't be taken to the police station in such a situation. And have no doubt that an American found in Canada in a similar situation would be detained... not necessarily for failing to produce a passport, but driving without license plates or insurance carry such high fines that the police will likely hold you pending proof you can pay them.

I'm going to Lake Tahoe (USA, California) this weekend and I've heard that there are 4 inches of snow. I'm driving 5 people plus luggage in my Mercedes-Benz sedan. What's the best way to go about doing the whole tire chain thing? I don't go up to the snow enough, I think, to necessitate me buying my own chains, but is that more affordable than getting them fitted once I'm near Tahoe by one of those professional booths? How much are chains, and how much is it to get them put on once I'm near the snow?

Okay so I was on Edmunds.com(a website where you can find cars being sold near you) and I found a Mercedes-Benz for $4,750. Its a 2007 and I know it sounds wayyyy too good to be truee. I texted the number and it was a fake, so i emailed asking about it and i then he/she replied:
"I'm sorry for this late answer but I'm working for the US airlines I'm taking classes for a month to improve my work in United Kingdom.The final price for this 2007 Mercedes-Benz E350 is $4,750.This Audi has 71,000 original miles on it and Will come with clear title and all the documents. The car is in perfect condition with no damage on it. Due my work I would prefer to use Yahoo Finance for this transaction.In order to have the transaction started I will need your full name and address where you want the car to be shipped.If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me and I will answer when my schedule will allow me."

Yes its a scam and a bad one at that. Yahoo Finance is only so you can track the performance of the stocks. I used it to communicate with my broker but it isnt possible to make transactions on it. Never agree to buy anything that you cant see or touch in person. It was good of you to ask someone about this before going through with it. I would suggest getting a small compact car that is cheap on gas and insurance for your first car rather then something like a Mercedes that is a pain on your wallet if it breaks down. Look on Auto trader or a website like that and you will find a good deal, also avoid dealers as that is a whole scam in itself. Good Luck!!

I feel like I am trapped?
If I stay married to my wife, I will be unhappy and if I get a divorce I will still be unhappy because all of the financial stuff and the bs males have to deal with when getting a divorce. She doesn't have a job so in the case of a divorce most of my money would go to her and she doesn't even deserve it. She treats me like a slave. Here are the issues I have with her:
1) She doesn't contribute to the household. She chills at home, hangs out with her friends and shops. I work 60-70 hours a week(mostly on the higher end) and she expects me to cook and clean when I get home. Our kids go to school so she has plenty of time to clean and cook while the kids are gone. It's not that hard. I want to relax a little when I get home, because when I get home I only have 3 hours before I have to go to sleep. Also I am a manager so I get yelled at a lot at work, it's frustrating. When someone messes up, I always get blamed. It's very stressing. When I'm home, I just want to watch TV and spend time with friends.
2) She doesn't care about anything I care about. If I want her to come to a reunion of my college basketball team, "it's lame" but when she want's something she expects me to go with her. If I want something "it's lame" but when she wants something, I am a bad husband if I don't go with her.
3) She thinks money falls on my lap, which is not true at all. I am a manager for Mercedes-Benz, there is nothing easy about that. I have a PhD and I work hard for the money I earn. When Mercedes-Benz wants something, they mean business. She doesn't get that though. Just because I have a office job, she thinks it's easy. Barack Obama technically has a office job, it's not easy though.
4) Everything in general is about her. She can complain all day but when I complain for a second, she says "Grow a pair and be a man"
5) She is very unsupportive.
6) She wasn't always like this. She used to be nice and sweet. She turned into a devil after we got married.
7) She drinks a lot. She drinks one bottle of wine everyday.
I want to get a divorce so bad but than I lose a lot of money. I lose either way, I don't know what to do. The divorce laws are so unfair in USA. Females win either way. I thought males and females were equal? Yeah right.I feel like I am trapped?
Have her sign a contract ASAP that if you and her split, she gets no money as you earned it. Once she has signed it..wait a while and then divorce her. Make sure she has no clue that you want to or she wont sign. Tell her that you earned the money and so you get it.
She should contribute, in fact do basically all of it as she does not work. This defeats the purpose of women rights. If I was in her shoes, I would get a great career and contribute to the house hold chores.
Get a good lawyer and tell them what you want.

I just compared the USA's wages to Australias. And Australia's government is run under the Australian Labor Party which is democractic Socialist. And Australia has far, far lower levels of income inequality than the USA. And the USA has the highest levels of income inequality in the world.
A garbage man in Australia gets paid AU$100,000 per year (Which is like US$93,000), the average miner gets AU$150,000, whilst the average CEO in Australia only gets $120,000 per year.
And in the USA, a miner doesnt even get paid half that wage.

Mercedes-Benz are great cars, they are reliable and safe. Me persoally i like the Mercedes-Benz cls550. it is a luxurious car that can basically drive itself. Both Mercedes can seat more than two people which is always a good thing. But on the other hand, Porsche's a great sport cars that will make anyone mouth drop. Porsche's will be more pricey when it comes to upgrades and repairs. The one and only bonus is that since its only a two seater, where ever you go with your friends you wont have to waste gas taking your car since it only seats two......Ultimately the clk550 is a winner when it comes to sports cars.

On no planet, are any of those cars, a "good" car for a 16 year old girl. They will all easily exceed your skill level, putting you in harms way. Other problems include feeding an unhealthy ego, devaluing the effort of people who actually have to contribute to society, and costing your father a lot of money, which he may have worked for so long that instead of earning your love, he must now buy it.
None of the above.
At 16, you will have extremely high insurance rates, and sports cars will make that even worse.
And you will have some fender-benders.
And you will be getting speeding tickets.
You need a slow, reliable car with good gas mileage and keeps the cops away from you... Minivans keep the cops away. ;)

I wouldn't buy neither one of these vehicle's for you,I believe someone your age should have a more down to the earth vehicle,meaning that you should have more drive time behind the wheel,Plus when your friends are in the car with you they take care of the car when there riding with you ,but i know that there going to do something to your car that your not going to like, You just need to learn to take good care if your first vehicle ,before you get a super nice one ,like your wanting.

However, like it or not, you will be an inexperienced driver and therefore more likely to be involved in a traffic collision. I realize you must have lots of money, but if, God forbid, you do pile it up, insurance will be insanely expensive for you after the incident. Not that it will be cheap for you in the first place. Most of my wealthiest friends drive normal cars like Toyotas and Chevys. Now that I'm done with my rant, my vote is either of the Mercedes. They will be cheaper to maintain and not be such a target for thieves or vandals. Porsches used to be quite unreliable too. Not sure how they are now though. Best of luck!
