Is it possible to check for frame damage by an auto shop?

also, how much would it cost to get a full thorough check on a car for defective parts and damaged parts, etc.

I'm planning on buying a salvaged car but want to take it to a shop to make sure everything is fine.

thank you!!Is it possible to check for frame damage by an auto shop?
Any good front end alignment shop will be able to tell if the frame has been bent, suspension or braking components are worn. They can also tell if the car has been in any previous collisions.

Cost depends on the type of car but generally the price shouldn't be that much. I'd say no more than 50 dollars. Is it possible to check for frame damage by an auto shop?
You can count on about an hour to complete a good overall inspection. The cost will be what ever the shop charges per hour. Any good shop should be able to perform this inspection and tell you if there is any frame damage.
