In 92 it was all 6 cylinders, but its either the 3100 (3.1L), 3400 (3.4L), or the 3800 (3.8L) It is best for you to find the correct motor, as it will save the headaches of changing motor mounts and the ECM.
Transports I think came with V6 eingles. There are two ways to find out. FIrst is to look on the engine cover itself. It'll usually say something like 3400, or 3.4L or 3100 or 3.1L
The second way is using the VIN number (the metal plate on the dashboard at the driver's side next to the windshield) The 8th digit is the engine code. You can call your local auto parts store or dealership and they can tell you the engine size. How do I find out what size engine my van needs? How do I find out how many cylinders (4,6 or 8)? ?
you can find the specs and the features of your van in this web site.. you can find the engine size and a lot of info about your car..
It should have a 3.8 liter v6...hope this helpsHow do I find out what size engine my van needs? How do I find out how many cylinders (4,6 or 8)? ?
The number of spark plugs are the number of cylinders. You should take a mechanic along to locate and check the engine at the junk/salvage yard before buying the same.
It's not worth it to sink that kind of money into a 92 Transport....
count the spark plugs. 4 cylinder has 4 plugs, 6 cylinder has 6 and a v8 has 8 plugs.
