Foriegn car makers?

Does foreign makes that have models made in the us...have to sign an agreement with one of the American auto makes to take over that model

I've notice that every foreign car make that has a model manufactured in usa....tends to look like on of an American model. Like for example Toyota Camry looks like the Pontiac sedan....Mercedes- Benz M-Class....Saturn vue.Foriegn car makers?

Well alot of car makes are some how affiliated with USA makes...



Like ford and mercury have very similair cars...
