Auto dealer sold me a car without disclosing a salvage title?

I bought a used car on June 15th 2010 and everything seemed fine. I just got the title a few days ago in the mail and stamped, in RED ink were the words "salvage title." I was never told at any point that the car had a salvage title. Not with the car salesmen, not with the finance coordinator when I was signing all the paper work. So obviously when i got the title in the mail and opened it and saw "salvage titole" i was taken back, waaay back! what can i do at this point? It's been about 2 1/2 months since I bought the car. I just want to know from a law point of view...do I have a case?Auto dealer sold me a car without disclosing a salvage title?
Depending on your financing arrangement you may have a course of action. Major lenders, and surely primary lenders, will not finance a car with a salvage title. If you did a buy here pay here disregard this answer. If there is a lender you should alert them to the fraud and they will recall all monies from the seller who will then ask you for the car to be returned. I'm surprised that you mentioned financing at all because you have clear title and the lender has no collateral. A salvage title must be revealed during the sales process. However, it is your word against the seller's the the revelation was not expressed.Auto dealer sold me a car without disclosing a salvage title?
No case.

You bought the car as is. That means you bought the car exactly the way it was sitting on the dealer's lot. You had an opportunity to get the title history of the car before purchase.Auto dealer sold me a car without disclosing a salvage title?
You have zero case. None.

Why aren't you going back to the dealer and asking for an explanation? And, if you are happy with the car (which it sounds like you are) then why not drive it and be happy? Don't let a couple words on a page make you unhappy.
What state is that, I've never come across a salvage title that is stamped in red as you describe, or stamped at all for that matter.
