Does anyone know of any good auto recyclers in Indianapolis or Indiana that would sell a whole 2002 to 2005 Ford Ranger for it's engine and engine control module? I called Brothers Auto Salvage in Indy and asked about a 2005 Ford Ranger that they had posted on their web site and the guy I talked to was very rude to me. He told me that I would only be able to use the block and heads off of the 2005 3.0 because he said it was a Flex Fuel engine and it had different injectors and several other different parts. I asked him if it would work if I took the computer control module and put it on my truck and he told me that I needed to contact the manufacturer of my truck and ask them what I needed. (I thought they were suppose to know what I needed.)Does anyone know of any good auto recyclers in Indianapolis or Indiana that would sell (please read details)?
They Don't sound like a place i would do business with. but your better off not going to a junk yard or salvage yard, shope for rebuilt instead.Does anyone know of any good auto recyclers in Indianapolis or Indiana that would sell (please read details)?
First off, in my fifteen years of automotive experience, I have learned that generally all junk-men are rude to the general public. To answer your question; I found a great website that thousands of junkyards use to display their inventory in a single database. car-part.com Try it, I've used it myself as have many of my customers (one of whom turned me on to it), and had great luck.
