it is fine. You can't get full insurance. The steering will never feel right. The car will "track" funny. The low price makes it acceptable..
To salvage a vehicle, the insurance co. feels that the vehicle is not worth the money to fix it. That being said, minor front end damage to a Jaguar would not be the reason to salvage. There is more to the story and the damage. To make the vehicle roadworthy and pass any DMV inspections may cost you way more than $7000.Is Buying a Salvage car worth it?
If you insure the vehicle with collision you wont get much for it if it's totaled because it has a salvaged title. Also, most banks will not finance a salvage title vehicle. So if you need to finance a vehicle this may not be an option for you. I would not just in my personal opinion.
Very good issues presented in Jessica's answer, and you might also want to consider future reliability issues with a car that has been involved in an accident. Often there are underlying issues from an accident that aren't apparent upon initial inspection. I speak from experience, having repaired my own car after an accident and having reoccurring issues with both body work fitment and electrical work.Is Buying a Salvage car worth it?

Sure you can. RIght. Minor front end damage does not take 75% of a 2006 Jag's value to repair.
Actually, that %age is based on state rules, but you get the idea.
