You're not going to see a big difference. The 4.2L is pretty underpowered for a full sized truck. Most of the time when you use a chip or a tuner you have to run premium fuel.

Can anyone recommend a superchip for a 1998 4.2l v6 f150 5 speed. Also hp and torque after installation.?
I'm having a lot of trouble trying to find a superchip/tuner for my truck. Is it possible they recommend I don't use most superchips because of the chances that the product will do little or nothing to performance of the truck. Any recommendations is greatly appreciated, however, i'm not going to buy a new truck.Can anyone recommend a superchip for a 1998 4.2l v6 f150 5 speed. Also hp and torque after installation.?
