Does anyone know of any good auto recyclers in Indianapolis or Indiana that would sell a whole 2002 to 2005 Ford Ranger for it's engine and engine control module? I called Brothers Auto Salvage in Indy and asked about a 2005 Ford Ranger that they had posted on their web site and the guy I talked to was very rude to me. He told me that I would only be able to use the block and heads off of the 2005 3.0 because he said it was a Flex Fuel engine and it had different injectors and several other different parts. I asked him if it would work if I took the computer control module and put it on my truck and he told me that I needed to contact the manufacturer of my truck and ask them what I needed. (I thought they were suppose to know what I needed. *lol*

They sell parts they don't work on them. I hate it when people call me at work and ask if a part will work on other vehicles. Think about it if a parts guy worked on and knew everything about every vehicle do you think that he would be selling parts for a living? Also our catalogs don't list every single little part on a car. Some things you have to go back to the dealer for. You really need to talk to a Ford mechanic to see what they have to say about the swap. I'm sure they have worked on both vehicles and could give you some information.
