Alright, now that the ney sayers are done, here is a probable answer, the program MUST be downloaded from the first truck and it returned to stock before it can be loaded into yours! This is what is meant by a programmer being "married" to the vehicle. Realistically, it prevents buying one and programming your entire club.
On my '03 6.0 4X4 I run a 4" cat-back that knocked the EGTs down at WFO (Wide F'n Open), I use an Edge Juice Platinum that is REALLY cool, and an AiRaid filter. I don't drive it like I stole it (but it has seen 26-30 psi) and I could not have asked for a better truck! So bring on your 7.3s your Cummins, and your DuraSmokes, I've spanked them all without issue!!I have a 2004 ford f-250 crewcab lariat 4x4 with a 6.0 desiel and i cannot get a programmer to work on it?
I wouldn't recommend a programmer on a 6.0 only to keep the boost pressures down and less likely to have engine gaskets failures.
But to answer your question... the cigar lighter fuse is blown
Ok I'll give.... Ford taps the 12 volts the programmers and our equipment uses to diagnose with from the same fuse that powers one of the 12 power points/cigar lighters... people blow them all the time and not being able to use the programmer (or in my case the diag tester) was the hint with no lights etcI have a 2004 ford f-250 crewcab lariat 4x4 with a 6.0 desiel and i cannot get a programmer to work on it?
i would not put programer in 6.0 ford diesel they have a hard enough time staying together stock. i have went though three of them in mine a2006 f350.
