What can i put in my dakota to add more horsepower?

i have a 94 dodge dakota sport with a 239 v6 magnum. currently it has an edelbrock cold air intake and the exhaust runs straight into a thrush turbo muffler no catalytic converter. in the next 6-12 months i want to add as much horsepower as i can afford. so far i am lookin into a venom 400 performance chip,possibly a reprogrammer(would a venom chip work with a superchips reprogrammer??), traction bars, possibly headers. i cant find larger throttle bodies on summitracing.com, but i can find throttle body spacers.?. nor do they have performance computers for a 239 V6. what else could i put into my truck to make it go fast. thanx for the suggestions.What can i put in my dakota to add more horsepower?
No cat = illegal. And the lack of backpressure has likely caused you a loss of power. Which there have been many articles about, proving why it's a bad idea to remove a cat.



Cold air intake = the truck had one, so that basically gave you nothing.



Turbo muffler = waste of money. A muffler does nothing for performance, only sound.

Article is for mustangs, but the chip does the same thing, regardless of vehicle. Absolutely stupid.



Want to put something in the truck that gives you actual power?



Swap the engine. Stop wasting money on all this little junk that isn't doing anything for you, and start with a good platform.



Seems like you need to sit down, stop listening to whoever you're getting these ideas from, and actually research legitimate power adders.



Headers are great, but only if your stock ones suck. If they don't, then you don't get much gain at all.



Throttle body spacer? What for? Is your throttle body bad? If you don't know, why would you buy it, if you don't even know if you need it.

the dude above is right buy a stronger engine dont waste all this stuff thats just harming yours and dont even think about turbo/supercharger they work but they are seriously harmful for the engine. your gonna spend about the same money trying to make it stronger in add ons when you could give it seriously more power by buying a better engineWhat can i put in my dakota to add more horsepower?
