Auto Insurance on a Salvage Title?

Is it possible in the Sate of New Jersey to obtain Limo/Taxi insurance coverage for a vehicle that carries a salvage title?Auto Insurance on a Salvage Title?
You need to contact you Title office/DMV. Each state has different laws. Most states have laws that once that title is changed to a salvage title it is illegal to drive on the road until it is repaired and inspected by the state highway partrol. They will then give you documents to take back to the title office/DMV, if it passes inspection, to get a rebuilt salv title. At that time you can legally drive it and insure it. The value may be decreased though so keep that in mind if you want to carry full coverage.Auto Insurance on a Salvage Title?
salvage is junk. its to be sent to the junk yard to be crushed for recycling. the original title has alread been destroyed and the vehicle cant be titled again. thats the law in all most states. however you can remove any parts that you need before sending to scrape yard if its in your possession.Auto Insurance on a Salvage Title?
I can only answer for the state of Oklahoma, your laws may be different. Here there is a regular title, a salvage title, and a junk title.

If you have a salvage title, it means the car has been rebuilt, hopefully to specifications, but the vehicle must be inspected and certified before it goes on the road. After that you can obviously get insurance since it is now registered road worthy.

A junk title can never be on the road, it's a parts only vehicle suitable only to be crushed.
Well, salvage title is somewhat illegal to drive in in some states, but in NYS it is illegal to carry salvage title, so depending on the state you live in.
